The first 5 minutes

A year ago I wrote about how movies had changed their first 20 minutes to take into account the different viewing channels people use.

I was on a few webinars last week and the shift to online means you’re lucky to have 5 minutes now to make sure people have a reason to be there. Your pre-webinar comms will help and your producers will do everything they can but if you’re a speaker, you need to make sure you’re engaging quickly, regularly, and actively.

The clock’s ticking and you’ve got 5 minutes if you’re lucky.
