New year, new problems?

In just under a week LinkedIn’s new Workplace Learning Report will be published. For 2022 it was about L&D needing to upskill themselves in almost 40 different skills including Technology use, data analysis, consulting and communication skills and leading others.

I’d be very surprised if they’re much different this year and it begs the question, are we making any difference. I was in a session with Andy Lancaster this week and he suggested we’re making performance improvements in the way L&D is working. Do we have any evidence of that?

That’s why I’m keen to help Laura Overton, in conjunction with the CIPD start asking some questions to capture this information. In the CPID L&D study for 2023, they’re asking some questions to uncover stuff behind the headlines.
