I was talking about heavy thinking last week and realised I first posted about it 5 years ago.

Heavy thinking is the creative and critical thinking you need to do to but is often overlooked. Creative to come up with the new ideas and ways around problems and issues; critical to identify the practical of what works.

As I said before:

Heavy thinking needs time, energy and effort. Superficiality is commonplace. The abbreviated and micro pervade. Instant is preferred to the considered.

Heavy Thinking – Andrew Jacobs

Put time in your calendar to get this thinking done. Make space to pause and properly reflect on the issues facing you. You will perform much better and produce substantially improved ideas and plans.
