I’m delighted to be involved in the chairing for the Learning Technologies Autumn Form. The knowledge of the audience is exceptional and the series of smart, informed and challenging questions the presenters are facing is brilliant.
I’m putting myself into that space on Tuesday afternoon next week from 3.30 to 4.30pm. I’m going to do a session on Proving Impact and why (and more importantly how) we need to evaluate differently in a world of new technologies where employees are learning at a pace beyond our understanding.
The session won’t be the usual show and tell though; I could just relay how to evaluate differently, you’ll nod sagely, say thank you, and then go back to doing what you did before.
I’d like to make this much more interactive and focused on the topics you want to hear about. I’ve a list of things we could discuss but would much more like to know what questions you have about the topic of evaluation and demonstrating your learning impacts the business performance.
You can register for the session now – it’s free – and that will give you access to the platform where we’ll be running the session. That platform has a chat and question function and you can add your questions now. Alternatively, comment below and let me know what you want answers to in your measurement and evaluation challenges.
The things I had in mind were:
- How to measure the quality of the data you’re collecting
- Why you’re biased
- The 14 modern learning approaches you’re probably not measuring well
- Just in case to just for me learning and why it’s tough to measure
- The principles underpinning your approach
- Your evaluation strategy in Bs
- Why outcome and impact matter more than input and output
- The power of 10 – 10 days, 10 weeks, 10 months
See you there?
