The effort doesn’t disappear. – it moves. We’ve spent years pressing a button and expecting a result.

AI tools have changed that deal; many of them get it wrong the first time, so you prompt again, refine again, check again. That’s still work but it’s just different.

Before you adopt a tool because someone told you it would save time, ask where the time actually goes. The effort doesn’t disappear, it moves.

Sometimes the new location is better.

Sometimes it isn’t.
