When posts go wrong

Red toy car overturned on a kerb beside a residential street, with parked cars in the background and overlaid text reading “WHEN POSTS GO WRONG”.

I saw an interesting post on LinkedIn the other day – I know right?

I was preparing to respond and saw that two comments had been posted – one was labelled ‘comment 1’ and the other ‘comment 2’. They were posted by the original post author and were posted AT THE SAME TIME. If you’re going to automate activity, use agents, and rely on AI tools to work for you, please check their outputs.

I’m not surprised people do this – I expect it. Indeed, I’ve thought about automating activity and then, in a moment of clarity, realised that I’m not writing any more but just shoving more stuff out into the dead internet.

What stands out most from this, and what I’ll remember, though, isn’t that someone made a mistake posting or their agent didn’t work.

It’s that they think the people who follow them aren’t worthy of original thought or labour.
