Being hygenic

In the 1950s, Fredrick Herzberg set out to find out what motivated your teams. He wanted to know what factors created job satisfaction, and how it impacted on people’s motivation.

He found motivators which included achievement, recognition, self-worth, and growth.

He also found things like policies, supervision, relationships, and security which he called “hygiene factors” that cause dissatisfaction in the workplace.

Is your learning function a motivator or a hygiene factor?
