I’ve mentioned this on Twitter before but there’s a really easy way to avoid all the marketing email you get.
Firstly, set up a folder called ‘Unsubscribe’ in your inbox. Then set a rule that any email with ‘subscribe’ or ‘unsubscribe’ in the body should be sent automatically into that folder.
The impact on your inbox will be immediate – if you have a mature email account you can expect to see a significant number of emails move to your new folder and continue to do so on an ongoing basis.
This is a simple trick which you can apply to avoid people selling at you. How do you know your business isn’t doing the same with your offer?
