Infrastructure

When it works, infrastructure is invisible.

It might be crumbly, and rely on compromises to work, but it does pretty much what people expect it to do.

If you’re changing the learning infrastructure, you’d better make sure that what you replace with is just as invisible. If it’s not, people will soon tell you what doesn’t work.
