I found out yesterday that someone I’ve coached on their CV and interview preparation got the job they went for.

I was really pleased for them, they’ve worked hard and deserved an opportunity to do something different on a higher salary with more seniority and public presence.

So what? Well, it was a woman who I coached and the role is in a male dominated sector.

The whole essence of #ItStartsWithMe is to create a more level playing field. I’ve written before about not speaking unless there’s balance and fairness in the panels – I’ll be doing the same for coaching and mentoring because this stuff matters.
