Women Talking About Learning

I’m ever more frustrated by the lack of women’s voices being heard in learning and development so am doing something about it.

The Women Talking About Learning podcast will be launching in November 2020 and is an opportunity for me to use some of my male privilege to amplify women’s voices. The format will be simple – I’ll introduce the topic and 2 women guests and then I’ll walk away so the 2 guests can discuss the topic in hand for 30 minutes. The half hour limit is very specific; most people won’t engage with longer podcasts and it suits the length of commutes – remember them!

Production will be completed by my son and I; he’s the sound engineer and composer of the theme music.

A pilot is scheduled for release in October 2020 and the first 2 episodes are scheduled to ‘drop’ (yes, I know) on Tuesday 10th November.

Episode titles already lined up include:

  • The learning design one
  • The AI one
  • The learning technology one
  • The learning guru one
  • The community one
  • The workplace learning one
  • The social learning one

If you want to be involved, please let us know. Ping an e-mail to hello@llarn.com if you’ve a topic you want to suggest, or if you’re a woman who wants to speak.

Follow us on Twitter and keep an eye out for links to the first pilot episode.

We hope to hear from you soon!
