Comedians have an immediate feedback loop – their joke lands or it doesn’t. It sometimes feels like the learning function wants immediate feedback and creating happy sheets is the way we do it.

Learning is like comedy in that it may create an emotional response. The difference is that learning usually don’t need to know that response immediately.

Stop working to try and make that response ‘not bored’.
