Speaking up

Another #IWD2023 post, this time from Helen Bailey at Strategi Solutions.

In Drive to Survive women speak for only six minutes and seven seconds in season five, out of a total run time of over six and a half hours.

37% of women leaders have had a colleague get credit for their idea, compared to 27% of men.

Inequity is compounded when women aren’t called upon to ask questions at an event

If we are truly going to #BreaktheBias then this needs to change through conscious and intentional actions.

In Barack Obama’s first administration when one woman said something important, other women in the room would repeat that point and give credit to the woman.

What are you doing to amplify women’s voices in your place of work?
