Working in large organisations and having contacts in so many places means it’s really easy to keep your head down. You get on with the job and try and drown out the noise. And there is a lot of noise if you seek it out.
If you do that you’re also going to lose the signal; the tones and rhythms which underscore ‘why’ you’re doing. Finding the beat and pace that you and the people around you are working at can be difficult as we’re expected to do more and more.
Take time to stop and engage with the voices around you. If they’re all saying similar things, or different things in a similar way, maybe you owe it to yourself and the organisation to understand why.
Orchestrate.
