I’ve written before about em dashes and how I would add them to my writing. I use Quillbot to spell-check, paraphrase documents, an AI detector, live translator, grammar checker and a range of other activities.

It loves em dashes – it reminds me when I use hyphens and adds em dashes instead. It did it in this sentence.

So I use the tool to make my writing better, correct mistakes, and the like. What it does, to some people, is make my writing look like it’s AI generated. It’s not, it’s AI enhanced.

AI may have tidied the sentence, but it did not supply the thinking.
